Now and then, a band emerges, re-setting our senses, teaching us all over again how to listen and appreciate. FAIRE , an eccentric, audatious UFO of an act about to land on the unsuspecting French music scene, are such a group.
Fusing together fragments of playful La Bamba-era melodies, laced with deep psych, 80’s New Wave and occaisional deep trance, all viewed through a distorted mirror of truly French delirium, bringing the sound to the absolute now. All this is what FAIRE so aptly name « Gaul Wave ». Cut these cinematic qualities with an undercurrent of Punk DIY spirit, of Art Brut and urgency and there you have it, FAIRE.
