RVG (Melbourne, VIC, AUSTRALIA)

Genre:Rock

Hailing from the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, RVG — more formally, but less frequently, the Romy Vager Group — self released their sensational debut full-length, A Quality Of Mercy, in 2017. Since releasing their first album to critical acclaim and audience adoration, RVG have made huge strides at home and internationally: the band played an iconic set at Meredith Music Festival (AU), performed at Denmark’s renowned Roskilde festival, travelled Europe and the UK with Shame (UK), Sleaford Mods (UK) and Tropical F**k Storm (AU), toured the US with Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever (AU), played shows in Australia with Kurt Vile (US), showcased at SXSW in 2018 and played headline shows in New York and LA, and played a BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge session (UK), hosted by Huw Stephens.

Earlier in 2019 RVG released 'Alexandra', the first single since their inimitable debut album A Quality of Mercy. ‘Alexandra’ is the first taste of new music from RVG: produced by Victor van Vugt (PJ Harvey, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Beth Orton, The Triffids), and recorded in Melbourne, ‘Alexandra’ signals the next stage in RVG’s thrilling trajectory.
