Venezuela-born, Mexico-based producer and songwriter Ezequiel Bertho uses the name Algodón Egipcio (Egyptian Cotton) to craft pop songs with an experimental edge. He mixes genres as diverse as R&B, noise, hip hop, ambient, Latin and Caribbean music, and more, to create a sound that's fresh and unique. The follow-up to his debut album, La Lucha Constante (Lefse Records, 2011,) is out late February through Ponk Records and Arts & Crafts Mexico, and is called La Confianza Ciega.
