Johnny Lloyd (London, UK-ENGLAND)

Genre:Folk

In 2014, after 2 top 40 albums, world tours & support slots with Pixies & The Rolling Stones, Johnny Lloyd disbanded his band Tribes, embarked on a solo career. Teaming up with friends Jamie T, Mike Crossey (The 1975, Hozier) and Hugo White (The Maccabees), he recorded and released 'Dreamland' EP (2016) &‘Eden’ EP (2017). During the writing of his album he detoured slightly & started to expand his songwriting abilities, producing music for television & film including film trailers, the serial-killer biopic My Friend Dahmer & feature film, ‘Rare Beasts’.

2019 Johnny finished work on ‘Next Episode Starts In 15 Seconds’, a raw & personal record produced by Nathan Coen featuring Frank Turner, Hugo White, & Adam Prendergast of Harry Styles’ band as guest performers.

In support of the album release, Johnny toured the east coast of America supporting Frank Turner, before returning to the UK for festivals & headline tours. As well as releasing a two-part collection of demos, b-sides & other previously unreleased material (Low Fidelity Vol 1 & 2) Johnny continues his film & TV work, scoring the music to a forthcoming TV show and writing songs for his second studio album.
