FEET (Coventry, UK-ENGLAND)

Genre:Rock

The best records should sound like the greatest night out you’ve ever had. Full of thrills, spills, mind-bending stories, things you’ll never forget and bits you can’t quite remember clearly. Praise be, because that’s exactly what Feet have delivered with their brilliantly daft-titled debut album What’s Inside Is More Than Just Ham.

Over its ten tracks, it lurches and veers about with unbridled joy and a careering sense of abandon. Landing in places you sense even the band hadn’t expected, but always unmistakably Feet and always with a dazed grin on its face. Put it this way, if this album was a house party Happy Mondays would be in the kitchen spiking the punch, Childhood and Blur are in the garden having a spangled game of ping-pong, The Magic Gang are passed out on the sofa while The Super Furries spin the tunes and Shame are doing doughnuts out front, fucking up the lawn and ruining the flower beds. But as with any house party, spare a thought for the neighbours…It’s hard to think now, but Feet’s story has fairly inauspicious beginnings. Their debut album 'What's inside is more than just ham' is OUT NOW to critical acclaim.
